CHICC Profiling is an offshoot of Universal Characteristic Method (UCM) Profiling by Master Bernard Yeo, Founder of UCM Profiling, a leading research and educational organization dedicated to the research and teaching of Human Behavioral Sciences (HBS). UCM Profiling is an integration of THE Pythagoras Theorem and many other scientifically proven research done by experts who are engaged in human profiling and psychology findings.
What the Experts Say about Character Profiling:
Travis Bradberry, Ph.D, Author of ‘Personality Code’, and Co-Founder of TalentSmart: “Top performers may not share the same personality profile, but they have one critical thing in common: an acute sense of SELF-AWARENESS.”
US Senator John McCain, Author of ‘Character is Destiny’: “Character is inborn, the choice is yours.”

“The workshop gives me a better understanding of my 2 children, opens up my own mind to how my kids want me to ‘communicate’ with them, and even to manage my own marriage. With that, I have signed up for the Seminar where I hope to learn more about the CHICC Profiling method and how to use the ‘tools’ to ‘know’ my children and my students, and to guide them along the way.”
~~ Mrs Koh, Mother of Son (aged 5) and Daughter (aged 3)
“I would recommend the workshop. Through the workshop, I discover not only more about my child but also my own potential and how I can enhance on my strengths. I have signed up for the Seminar so as to know more about my child as well as how my own career can proceed from here.”
~~ Ms Aw, Mother of Daughter (aged 5) and Son (aged 3)
“Had I learnt this UCM Profiling from its Founder, Master Bernard Yeo, earlier, I would have gained a deeper insight into my students’ psyche, and, could have helped most, if not all my students, ‘chart’ their life journey, thus avoiding the many pitfalls along the way and helping them reach their full potential. Nonetheless, it is still not too late……”
~~ Mrs Fobrogo, an Educator with more than 30 years of teaching experience
CHICC Profiling offers the LATEST breakthrough in Character Profiling of children, and is INSTANT, ACCURATE & EASY TO UNDERSTAND. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that there are no tests or questions to answer. Self-bias is effectively removed. ~~ Mr. V.K. Kader Maideen (Trainer/Tutor)
“UCM Profiling is an enlightening tool that helps to bring about greater self-awareness and hence facilitate self-improvement. Through this process, we can communicate and interact with others more effectively. It complements traditional profiling tools like DISC and MBTI and can be applied in various capacities like coaching, counseling, psychology, education and human resource.”
~~ Ms FY Wong, Psychotherapist
“UCM Profiling is a very simple method but amazingly can give us in-depth information about someone just from the date of birth. After attending the seminar, I applied the UCM to my family and the results are fantastic!”
Best Parenting Tips That Works for some of our parents
Be calm and cool when your toddler does not listen to you and keeps crying or screaming. Distracting him by saying something he likes to make him calm down, eg. Say you are going to dress his toy and bring it out instead. If you are impatient, your toddler will be even more impatient than you.

I started putting my baby on the potty since she was 6 months old. Whenever she tries to poo, we would slowly remove her diapers without startling her and slip the potty below to let her sit on it. The idea is to let her get used to the potty when she poos and at the same time, it is easy to clean her up as compared to having her poo in the diapers. The next thing I will try is to let her sit in the potty at specific timing as she usually poos in the morning after breakfast cereals.

“Spanking is not the way to the kids of today… reasoning is a much viable choice, you will be surprised..
Though punishment still needs to be enforced, I would strongly encourage parents not to start shouting and beat the kids once a wrong action is made. Tell him/her that the action is not ideal and explain the reason why and the hurt that will be felt. Ask him/her if he/she wants to be treated the same way. If need be, let them think about it before saying “sorry”. Try not to force him/her to say “sorry” on the spot, if he/she still does not think it’s right. Give them time to reflect, you will be pleasantly glad that their little hearts are really made of “gold”. ;-)”
Too much spanking and shouting will make the kids numb from any sort of teaching.. (I have also guilty in some way and trying to master the art of teaching children the right way in life)

1) Respect your child - Speak to her politely, pay attention when she is speaking to you and respect her opinion
2) Always ask yourself: What effect will my decision have on my child?
3) Teach your children to fish, don’t fish for them.
4) Keep a regular schedule for your kids and help them become disciplined individuals.

“Communication with my son is the best parenting tip, I’ve ever experienced. I have never underestimated the ‘power of absorption’, although my child does not seem to understand what we adults are talking about. Babies love to learn, although they don’t know how to express it out. The more we communicate with our child, the more their minds get stimulated, the more intelligent our babies would be. That will be one of the greatest gift we can give to our children.”

Stepping into primary school is a milestone for all children. From a relaxed kindergarten to a formal education in primary school, many children will find it scary, especially on their first day in a big school, with so many unfamiliar faces.
As a parent, you definitely have the power to help your child reduce his anxiety and make the transition a happy and smooth experience. You can even help your child get a head start over his peers by preparing him well mentally.
You can start off by familiarizing the school with your child. You can bring your child to visit the campus before the semester kicks off. Show him where the toilets, canteen and classrooms are. You can also take some pictures of different areas of the school to show him. This is to help him familiarize with the new surroundings.
On top of familiarizing with the new surroundings, it is useful to help him familiarize with new school routines. Share with him how flag-rising and flag-lowering ceremonies are conducted and the timings of recess breaks and assemblies.
To get your child excited over starting of school, you can bring him along when you purchase school uniform for him. Let him put on the uniform first and let him see himself in the mirror. This will enable him to adapt to his new identity faster and easier.
You can also start to teach him some common communication skills, like how to ask for permission, how to order food, and how to organize their schoolbags. Get them to practice at home first. You can even do role playing at home where you can pretend to be the teacher and he be the student.
To help your child get a head start in his studies, you need to teach him how to manage their homework and timetable early. You need to support him at this stage, as he may find the sudden increase in homework and tests during primary school too much to take.
For a start, encourage your child to share his experience over what he likes and doesn’t like about school. Give him as much time to talk as possible, and from there, you can see his perceptions of schools through his eyes. If he says school is boring, don’t brush him off straight away. Acknowledge his feelings first followed by your own views.
Initially, your child will need you to work side by side with him to help him cope with his homework. This is the time when you can show your fullest support by praising him and helping him overcome his weakness. Don’t compare him with his siblings and peers and appreciate every little effort he puts in.
Take this chance to discover his strengths and weaknesses. If your child is weak in numbers but strong in English, praise his ability to understand words quickly and at the same time, give him more Maths exercises to do. Encourage him that he can do it, as long as he stay focused and determined. Reward him every time you see an improvement.
On top of schoolwork, make sure he has sufficient play time and rest time too. Help to construct a timetable with him so that he will learn how to organize his time in a better way. Make sure he has a conducive environment for studying, with no distractions around. When it comes to leisure, make sure he adhere to the timetable and don’t overspend his time on TV.
To nurture a child effectively, parents should work closely with teachers. To do that, you can spend some time talking to your child’s teacher over how he is doing in school. Avoid talking about his behavior in front of him as this will probably lead to a lot of criticisms which will hurt his self esteem. On top of that, you can even join as a parent volunteer to help out in school affairs.
In conclusion, entering primary school is a big step for many children. But with the right preparation and foundation from you as well as from the schools, they will be able to adept smoothly and have a fun and enriching time in school.
Understanding a child’s learning styles is an important component of effective learning. Some children thrive in a classroom-based environment, whereas others prefer hands-on, interactive sessions, though their preferred learning styles may change or expand overtime.
Blossom Edugroup adopts the VAK method. It is a method that combined 3 different learning styles namely, Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic.
Have a glimpse into some Nursery 1 (three years old) classroom fun and the incorporation of Blossom’s 3 learning styles (VAK) of a class during one of their English Language lessons for the letter shape ‘h’.
Visual
A display of flashcards on the wall provides for a print rich environment which eventually leads to children learning to recognise the shape of Harry Hat Man (h).
Visual and Auditory
The word ‘house’ is introduced as having the same beginning sound as Harry Hat Man’s ‘h’. To extend the children’s learning and introduce the concept of a house, the story book ‘’This is Our House’ was read. The children learnt through the story-telling session and through observing the vivid pictures in the book.
Auditory
Letterland gives life to each letter as they associate each letter with a different Letterland character! For example: Harry Hat Man hides behind the letter ‘h’. The lyrics of his song are so catchy that even the very young ones will have no problems singing along.
Kinesthetic
‘H’ for house! Construct a 3D house with reusable cardboard. The children not only get to see and touch but also have an opportunity of hands-on, creative and concrete learning of witnessing a 3D house being constructed with some reusable cardboard.
Apart from learning the letter ‘h’, they were introduced to the basic structures of a house eg: walls, roof, windows, door, etc. as well.
After all that workout with the three learning styles, one of the children was seen pointing to the letter ‘h’ while browsing through a story book during quiet time.
To further aid in his recognition of letter ‘h’, the teacher prompted him to search for the letter ‘h’, Harry Hat Man. He was able to identify the letter and even attempted to sound its corresponding sound!
The children were also enthusiastic and actively sought for Harry Hat Man everywhere they went, they spotted the letter ‘h’ on sandpaper and flashcards and on posters around the school!
VAK is an approach that can engage the children in groups, no matter what their learning style is. It can also be used as an effective method to find out the preferred learning style of your kids by observing their attention span and engagement for each method!
