Baby Loves Disco! A Global Phenomenon Which Has Reached Singapore
Parents, remember those good old days when you could go out, dance the night away, and have a good time? If you thought those days were long gone, think again! There’s a new reason to go to the club, and now even your kids can get in on the act!
All across the globe, Baby Loves Disco is slowly but surely transforming the hippest places into child proof discos as toddlers, pre-schoolers and parents looking for a break from the routine playground circuit let loose for some post naptime, pre-dinner fun.

The monthly event since inception in 2005, has spread coast to coast and now takes place in over 26 cities in the USA. & internationally, including the UK. Poland, Dubai, Australia, Japan, China with South Korea and Singapore being the latest two to catch the “baby loves disco” phenomenon.
Baby Love Disco will inject a breathe of freshness, breaking from the usual playground circuit, swimming pools, zoo trips etc.(not yet including the countless shopping and window shopping we have done over and over again). It will provide a very rare mix of fun for both kids and parents - which we are not able to find today.
Baby Love Disco will also serves as a totally new experience in today’s urban parenting in Singapore. A meeting place, which will have a totally new appeal for parents and kids to interact and socialise while dancing with our little ones. Out goes the standard kid’s fun or “only for kid’s entertainment“. This an event that will embrace fun as a whole family and bringing the idea of urban parenting culture into a whole new experience.
Who says parents can’t party and dance with our kids together? Weekend afternoons are now Saturday nights!!

Spectrum Learning
Spectrum Learning was founded in 1995 by Dr. Kenneth Kang, an educational psychologist and natural health practitioner trained in the practice of Neurofeedback at the EEG Institute in the United States. Been the first and only Neurofeedback Centre in Asia since being established, Spectrum Learning has gained valuable experience working with a wide range of clients with a variety of conditions and disorders.
Neurofeedback, a substantially researched biofeedback, has been proven to be applicable to a wide variety of conditions. Our clientele include those with autism, attention deficits and hyperactivity disorders, dyslexia, learning disabilities, stroke, chronic fatigue, migraine, high levels of stress and anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder, as well as athletics and scholars.
At present, our clients are referred by practitioners, previous or current clients, or individuals who have learnt about Neurofeedback through seminars and lectures by various organizations.
Together with Neurofeedback, Spectrum Learning has incorporated a spectrum of other services so as to create a holistic approach. The emphasis of biochemistry has been introduced in recent years while Asia’s first state-of-the-art brain mapping technique using QEEG was brought into the scene as a functional assessment.
The spectrum of services offered in Spectrum Learning are as follows,
1. Evaluative Tests
a. Biological
i. Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA, also known as hair analysis)
Tissue mineral analysis of the hair is an analytical test that assesses the mineral composition of the hair. When interpreted correctly; this preventive screening test provides invaluable clinical results. Mineral imbalances, deficiencies, and presence of toxic elements are adequately portrayed in the hair analysis. Used in conjunction with other diagnostic tests, a comprehensive depiction can be derived.
ii. Peptide and Organic acids Urine Analysis
Healthy gastrointestinal functioning is the basis of overall physical and psychological health. Urine test provides a metabolic “snapshot” based on those products the body discarded during urination. Should abnormal metabolites of intestinal microorganisms be found, it is capable of causing or worsening existing conditions such as behavioral disorders, hyperactivity and aggressiveness, affect energy levels, mood and immune functioning.
iii. Immediate and Delayed Food Allergies Blood Test
Food allergies testing, namely IgG – a delayed immune response marker and IgE – an immediate allergic vector, is a useful guide in structuring elimination diets for many chronic conditions. Complete elimination of potential problem foods from the diet may bring about striking improvements in health status, mood, energy and even behaviour.
b. Functional
i. QEEG Brain Mapping
This functional technique allows the practitioner to analyze how a subject utilizes his/her brain while on specific tasks. It reveals unique brain profiles such as inactivation, fatigued/ exhaustion and/or shut down. This invaluable data provides a map for designing an individualized brain exercise program using Neurofeedback.
2. Intervention
a. Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback, a painless and non-invasive brain exercise, is a form of biofeedback using EEG signals, otherwise known as an electroencephalograph. During each session, one or more sensors are placed on the client’s scalp. These sensors capture the EEG signals and are amplified and converted into controls for a computer game. Only with desired brainwaves produced, the game will proceed and points will be awarded.
Otherwise, no points will be scored. This rewarding system is based on B.F. Skinner’s scientifically established principal, laws of operant conditioning. Over sessions, the brain will recognize and learn to produce desired EEG patterns. These learned patterns will be internalized and gradually produced without conscious effort.
b. Supplementation
Detoxification and nutritional intervention are done based upon the results of the hair mineral tissue analysis. If necessary, detoxification is carried out by formulating a diet plan, aided by various supplements. Supplementation, on the other hand, is beneficial for those with minerals imbalances. Together with a well balanced biochemistry, one will reap significant benefits from the Neurofeedback training.
