Getting the Right Confinement Nanny

It is a very challenging task in getting the right confinement nanny. Reliability, attitude and getting a pro-breastfeeding nanny are the major concerns to all expectant mothers.

GPLS, a confinement nannies for hire agency shares their insights on some pitfalls that might occur when we do not get the right confinement nanny.

Some Common Pitfalls:

Select Nannies Based On Friends or Relatives Recommendations
A Confinement nanny who suits your friends and relatives does not necessary suits you. This is a common issue as different family has different standard of expectations and requirements of a nanny. A nanny that fits well into family A might not necessary fits well into family B, due to personality differences.

Your deposit paid is not guaranteed
Booking base on words without deposit given, means commitment does not exist, nanny can decide not to come at the last minute. It would be such a nightmare when you are left with so much baby chores to do but no help rendered.

Nannies For HireA worst scenario, when someone else offers a higher rate; your nanny can decide to drop you without even letting you know until when your confinement is about to start. Or it could be that she is still tied up with her other assignments. And you get panic at the last minute and additional stress added in you becoming a debt chaser for deposit you have placed with her. Many a times, deposit is not retrieval. Make sure you get a confinement nanny who keeps to her promised.

Enforcing Strict Traditional Services
As some confinement nannies tend to enforce traditional confinement practices very strictly, some modern mummies of the 21st century might not get use to it. Instead of helping tide through a smooth and relaxing confinement, it ends up causing stress and discomfort to the mummies.

Unforeseen Circumstances
There are bound to be some unforeseen circumstances such as the confinement nanny might fall sick, needs to leave earlier due to personal reasons or not being able to get along with the family etc…

Therefore it would be good to employ nanny from an established agency network so as to ensure that there are that there is someone to help you ensure a smooth transition in your confinement.

Understanding the New Age Mom

New Age MomLong time ago, mothers are just nestled at home performing their responsibilities to their husband and children.

Cooking, doing the laundry, managing the household budget and performing other housekeeping roles are just a few of the many tasks expected of a mother to fulfill. The homes would not be complete without mothers who do not only take charge of physical order and maintenance but also of strengthening relationship among siblings.

Now, mothers have adapted into the prerequisites of the modern world. Technological advancements and fast-paced transformation are factors that triggered the changing of the traditional mom into a superwoman. With the coming of the new-age trends, mothers also followed a path of metamorphosis. From the lowly house wife that they were, they have turned into someone of great influence inside the homes and outside the community.

Multi-tasking is more than just doing the laundry while cooking at the same time. Mothers now encompass the professional world beyond their normal housekeeping responsibilities. The new age mom is now a superwoman capable of doing great at work while maintaining her roles at home.

The change in the roles of mothers has been greatly influenced by political and social events in almost all parts of the world. Political significance of women has made mothers speak out their minds in issues concerning families, children and the government.

Moreover, they are now entitled to seek for political positions that would help in improving state policies and conditions. Most countries with women presidents are also mothers who take care of their children as well as their constituents.

On the other hand, modern-day mothers are also socially involved. Different non-government organizations have been composed of women advocating for what is right. The fight against poverty, against corruption and against human rights violation has made use of women as the fearless front liners.

Going beyond the four walls of the home is indeed a critical role. Imagine how a simple woman could manage to think of the dinner menu while accomplishing a huge company project. Try to figure out further how an ordinary mother could teach hundreds of other children while managing to direct her own kids into good life paths.

From providing the food you eat at the table during mealtime, the new age mom is also responsible of helping her husband find financial resources. Be it a home-based job or an office work, mothers are now seen flourishing just anywhere in the world, succeeding in their own chosen fields as men have seen doing in the past.

So indispensable and significant the roles of the mother are that a moment in a year is dedicated to show how much they are appreciated by their children, their spouses and the world at large.

Indeed, the new age mother may have been changed and moved by modernization. Looking more corporate than her traditional housekeeping dress, mothers will always be mothers. Behind her lips now painted red, her face now made up with cosmetics, her colorful and glamorous clothing and accessories, the heart of a mother does not change.

Connected Couples Workshop

Learning Partners Education Centre

Learning Partners Education CentreLearning Partners was set up by a team of 4 teachers in 2006-2007. We felt that teaching in a school setting could not help us to accomplish the mission that we have: to help develop each child to his or her fullest potential.

In school, we were hampered by the large class size of 40, administration distractions and other various constraints. Thus, towards the end of 2006, we left the teaching service to set up Learning Partners which began operations in November 2006.

It has been an exhilarating journey. We have learnt many things along this journey and are keen to learn more as the journey continues. Our team of teachers has also expanded from the initial 4 to more than 10 now. We are very fortunate to have attracted many other fine teachers of like mind, teachers who want to add value to their students.

Learning Partners’ Philosophy is that to successful help the children, there must be a tri-partite relationship between children, parents and teachers. Parents must work hand-in-hand with teachers to bring out the best in their children. We seek to complement the efforts of the school, to nurture and encourage the children in their own journey of learning. We are certain that we will succeed with the support of the parents.

Why choose Learning Partners?

  • Experienced and dedicated tutors who are current or ex-school teachers
  • Specialized worksheets that follow MOE syllabus
  • Regular feedback & exam preparations
