This is a story about Joshua, a little boy, who was learning how to potty. It was absolutely hilarious.

I love how they repeat the words “Weewee” and “Poopoo”. I almost died laughing when I saw him bend over and show us his “little hole for making poopoo”! This is great stuff!

Phonics means teaching the sounds of English rather than the letter names. It’s the fastest way for students to learn how to read, whether in the US or UK (where it is now in the national curriculum).

This song is intended to be used as a review for children who have already done some phonics.

The idea of phonics is that instead of “ay”, “bee”, “see”, you learn the sounds and then the letters that they correspond to. The idea being that this makes reading a whole lot easier.

Party Toys Review

1. Little Tikes Obstacle Play Center

Since RentDToyz was borned on 22 Feb 09, I have been actively searching for new ideas on what nowadays parents want for their children. I found out that parents would love to give their children an unforgettable birthday party, especially their 1st year birthday.

I did my research on the toy’s types, age suitability, quality, brands, functions and safety issues before choosing the toys that I would like to rent out. Thereafter, I introduced toys specially, for parties recently in June 09.

2. Little Tikes Foldaway Playground

This is a unique design of a toy that unfolds into an instant mini-playground!

The features include climbing wall, slide and an adjustable basketball hoop and soccer or hockey net. The basketball is included with the toy. This toy will be ideal for boys and girls. It is great for indoor or outdoor use, for year round of fun.

You don’t have to worry about storage space after the party as the easy up, easy down design folds for compact storage.

It is suitable for children, aged 18 months and above.

We were alerted via a facebook message from Anderson Junior College Alumni (PH was from AJC).  It was titled “Help save a child of one of our alumni” - By Marcus Pang

As a mother myself, I can feel the pain of Cynthia and really touched by the ongoing efforts to help raise fund for the little girl Charmaine Lim who is in the Operating Threatre as i wrote this (18 Jun 2200hrs)

After finding out more from other blogs, i found out that her case has also been highlighted across various news platforms:

Dear All,

Today I’m typing this message with sadness and hope. A lovely little girl, by the name of Charmaine, has been struck with a tumor and needs help in all forms - prayers, financial aid and all.

I can’t describe it better than her mum, so I’m quoting her mum from a letter to our AJCAA President directly from here -

My Charmaine has just completed 4 out of 5 rounds of chemotherapy at NUH in May. Her doctor said that Charmaine has only 10% - 20% chance to live.

I still feel very down and lost.

A few weeks ago, Charmaine’s doctor told me that a drug in New York will double up her chance of survival to 40% - 50%. Suddenly, I saw a glimpse of hope for her. Unfortunately, the drug is not available in Singapore and is not yet approved in Singapore.

I, then, asked her doctor how much I would need to gather to bring Charmaine to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre (MSKCC), New York for the drug. I was told USD $350,000 is required as the upfront deposit before treatment begins.

My glimpse of hope quickly vanished.

I felt numbed…I just cried…

For I felt awfully helpless…

Where am I going to find half a million Singapore dollars?!

Am I going to lose my daughter?

I don’t want to lose my child…

I want to try…

I will never forgive myself if I do not even try…

I shall try. I shall plead.

I plead with you to try to help me organise a private donation drive within your network of friends and working colleagues. You can choose from a range of fundraising ideas on Fundraising or come up with a fundraising idea of you own. Please pardon me for making this challenging request unto you. As a mother, I must try for my child. I must try. I am really really sorry if I have been rude.

Please help me. I am desperate.
